I do have conservative leanings and I do like some of their ideas.

Unfortunately the current conservative party and especially it’s leader have been in troll mode for years.

Non Conservatives never get any credit, their entire mission is to be the opposition and take down the government. There is no working together and even when another party does something they like, they attack anyway.

I will have numerous examples of this but the current worst thing Pierre has done is trashing the Liberals helping rural residents with an improved carbon tax refund and a pause on heating oil carbon tax.

This was to specifically address the concerns brought to them by Atlantic residents and MPs who not only pay more for electricity but are quite often stuck with options like heating oil versus affordable natural gas.

Pierre called this a panicked flip flop which is over the top and inaccurate. The Liberals did not say they wouldnt help out rural Canadians when economic conditions worsened.

Pierre then proceeded to call the pause a scam just to get reelected and that it would be reversed immediately upon re-election. Like they wouldn’t even wait the 3 years on the pause and immediately rug pull upon winning. There of course would be no hopes for a further reelections after a move like that but that’s beside the point.

Cost of living has gone up and the Atlantic provinces are hurting more than most energy wise. The extra rebate and pause is a good thing and I’m very glad the government listened.

There are times for trolling, this was not one of them. On one hand they are bleeding heart liberals. On the other hand they are just scammers who don’t even care about helping people, just votes.

All the conservatives had to do was say the Liberals caved to the pressure and then moved on to something else to trash. They couldn’t help themselves from going full negative and using trigger words to rile up their base, all because the Liberals did something they wanted that the people were asking for.

This was a positive thing that should have been embraced or ignored if you are incapable of credit. There was no reasonable excuse to go full troll for them bending on the carbon tax.

They slammed the Liberals for doing this for votes while Pierre did the trashing purely for votes. Hypocrisy at its worst, think about it.
